Seoul, South Korea, September 22, 2015 – The Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC) announced the winners of its 12^th APSCC Awards at the APSCC 2015 Satellite Conference & Exhibition held at COEX Seoul, Korea.

Paris, France, September 17, 2015 - Euroconsult, a global consulting firm specializing in space markets, announced the recipients of its 12th Annual Awards for Excellence in Satellite Communications on the occasion of the World Satellite Business Week, its annual senior executive event, the 19th edition of which took place in Paris from Sept. 14 to 18. These annual awards recognize companies and their management for their outstanding accomplishments in the satellite sector. Winners are chosen by a panel of industry experts from Euroconsult, SpaceNews, and SatelliteFinance who assess candidates using rigorous qualitative and quantitative criteria.

Madrid, Spain, September 9, 2015--The call for entries for the HISPASAT 4K International Festival will on September 23rd. The competition is open to films produced in any country and in any genre (fiction, documentary, experimental, music video, institutional, etc.) with a maximum duration of 20 minutes, and shot and produced in 4K format.  

Washington, DC, August 10, 2015-- The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today that Steve Mosko, Sony Pictures Television president, will participate in the opening keynote conversation at NAB’s Content and Communications World (CCW) on Wednesday, November 11. CCW will be held November 11-12 in New York City.

Yangon, Myanmar, July 17, 2015 – Myanmar’s broadcasting industry is set for significant changes as the government moves forward with a new broadcasting law which is nearing completion. In the run-up to the return of the hugely successful CommuniCast event and Myanmar’s second Satellite Forum (17-19 November 2015 at Myanmar Event Park, Yangon), the Myanmar Government has acted on its plans to develop one of the country’s key industry sectors with a new broadcasting law to open up the country’s media industry and encourage the distribution of new services.  

Madrid, Spain, July 14, 2015--Spanish satellite communications operator HISPASATis organising the HISPASAT 4K International Festival, one of the first film competitions in the world to exclusively feature short films shot in 4K.  The call for entries will be open from July 14 to September 23, 2015. The HISPASAT 4K International Festival is open to films produced in any country, in any genre, with a maximum duration of 20 minutes and shot in 4K format.

Sã​o Paolo, Brazil, July 7, 2015--Registration is now open for in the 2nd Latin American Broadcasting Business Forum, to be held on August 25 and 26 in São Paolo, Bazil.The event is organized by SET and the Asociación Internacional de Radiodifusión (A.I.R.), with the support of the Brazilian Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters (ABERT) and the Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters of the State of São Paulo (AESP). The Forum will be held as part of the SET EXPO, the largest broadcast and new media business and technology event in Latin America.

Munich, Germany, June 26, 2015--The last day of GLIC 2015 found a unanimous consensus over the interesting, unusual and innovative topics covered by the conference. The conference co-roganized by co-organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology featured high-level speakers from the government and private space sectors  globally.
