The new 70cm axi-symmetrical manual flyaway antenna assembles or disassembles in minutes, packs into an airline carry-on compliant backpack, and weighs less than 40 lbs. when packed in the backpack. The antenna is designed to be in compliance with the currently proposed FCC rule for Ka-band apertures and features an 8-piece segmented carbon fiber reflector. The antenna also has optional motorization and an optional CAP controller. The 70cm axi-symmetrical antenna will be in AvL’s indoor booth in the South Upper Hall, SU 8007.

The antenna features AvL’s zero-backlash cable drive for stiffness and accurate pointing for Ka-band operation, and an auto-acquisition controller. The antenna is quick-deploy and offers one-button operation. The 1.5m vehicle-mount antenna will be in AvL’s outdoor booth, OE 801.
