Marlink Acquires Hellenic Radio Services

Oslo, Norway, October 3, 2022. Marlink, has completed the acquisition of the satellite communications business of Hellenic Radio Services (HRS). Through this transaction Marlink has acquired the satellite communication assets, the experienced staff and the customer support structure of HRS, substantially increasing its installed base in the Greek market with over 750 additional satcom-equipped vessels.

London, UK,  September 5, 2022--After a hiatus of three years, IBC is back as an in-person event at its usual venue, the RAI in Amsterdam.  The show runs September 9th – 12th.  The main IBC conference takes place on the first two days only, and is centered around the theme: “What’s next?  Designing the Future together,” but every day throughout the show there are multiple free sessions taking place.  The latter are grouped into three themes: Innovation, Content Everywhere and Changemakers.  In addition, the Showcase Theatre features a variety of presentations from exhibitors including a full day from Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Gilat Reports Strong Second Quarter 2022 Results

Petah Tikva, Israel,  August 9, 2022 –Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: GILT, TASE: GILT) today reported its results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2022. The company reported reported revenues of US $55.5 million, operating profit of  US $1.5 million and Adjusted EBITDA of US$ 5.3 million.

SES and Intelsat Reportedly are Engaging in Possible Merger Talks

Luxembourg City, August 4, 2022--The number 1 and number 2 leading global satelltie operators, SES and Intelsat are reportedly engaging in possible merger talks according to various media reports.  The story was first released by the Financial Times. The merger, if borne into fruition will create the largest satellite company in the world with over 100 Geostationary satellites generating over US$ 4 Billion in annual revenues.
