SATELLITE 2024 Adds Headliners from the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Space Development Agency, Delta Airlines, SpaceX, and the National Space Council at the White House

Rockville, MD – January 18, 2024 – The SATELLITE 2024 Conference and Exhibition has announced several new keynotes and headlining speakers for the upcoming event, taking place March 18-21, 2024 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.

  • On Monday, March 18, attendees will hear from Dr. Troy E. Meink, Principal Deputy Director of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and Dr. Derek Tournear, Director of the Space Development Agency, during the Government & Military Forum Opening Keynote. Dr. Meink provides overall day-to-day management of the NRO, with decision responsibility as delegated by the Director, NRO (DNRO). Dr. Tournear is responsible for unifying and integrating the Department’s space development efforts, monitoring the Department’s threat-driven future space architecture, and accelerating fielding of new military space capabilities.
  • Glenn Latta, Managing Director, Inflight Entertainment & Connectivity at Delta Airlines, is joining Paul Gaske, Chief Operating Officer at Hughes, for Tuesday’s Opening Keynote. Mr. Latta currently leads the implementation teams enabling Delta’s vision to bring fast, free Wi-Fi across its global fleet.
  • During Thursday’s Opening Keynote, Diane Howard, Director of Commercial Space Policy at the National Space Council at the White House, will be interviewed by Carissa Bryce Christensen, Founder and CEO at BryceTech, about the administration’s space priorities, its space accomplishments to date, and its path forward in 2024.

They join an already impressive keynote speaker lineup including Ryan Krogh, Global Combine Business Manager at John Deere, Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), David Wajsgras, CEO of Intelsat, and Mike Greenley, CEO of MDA.

Furthermore, Gwynne Shotwell, President & COO of SpaceX, has confirmed her appearance during Tuesday’s Opening General Session, “How Industry Leaders are Investing in Growth: Innovative Satellite Technologies for New Customers.” She will join industry executives from Eutelsat Group, Astranis Space Technologies, Telesat, and SES to discuss how they’re scaling up and going on the offense with strategic investments in technology and new customer acquisition.
