Oil & Gas Communications Brazil 2012: 21st Century Digital Oilfield & Gasfield Imperatives Onshore, Offshore, and in Deepwater

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, April 3, 2012--The city of Rio de Janeiro will once again be the location for the latest in the GVF-EMP Oil & Gas Communications Conference series as it launches into its 2012 global program.  Held in association with Harris CapRock, Intelsat, RigNet, Hughes, Telespazio, KVH, C-COM Satellite Systems, and with special thanks to Petrobras, ‘Oil & Gas Communications Brazil 2012: 21st Century Digital Oilfield & Gasfield Imperatives Onshore, Offshore, and in Deepwater will take place 25th & 26th April 2012 at the Windsor Barra Hotel.

 

This conference brings the GVF-EMP Oil & Gas Communications Series to its 14th event, and will feature dialogues that – amongst other key topics to be presented by Harris CapRock, Intelsat, and KVH – will cover the following themes:

Additionally, the focus of attendees will also extend to the subject of satellite radio frequency interference in the oil & gas communications environment. This topic will be examined over two sessions, the first offering the perspectives of Petrobras (with some inputs from GVF), and the second offering the detailed perspectives of the satellite communications solutions sector, as follows:

 

In the first session:

  • Radio Frequency Interference in the Oil & Gas Space 1: Industry Mitigation Strategies – Installer & Maintenance Training for the Offshore Environment, Equipment Product Quality Assurance & Network Validation Analyses will be addressed by Angelo Antonio Caldeira Canavitsas, Equipment Engineer, Petrobras (with a satellite-industry perspective from Martin Jarrold, Chief of International Programme Development, GVF)

In the second session:

  • Radio Frequency Interference in the Oil & Gas Space 2: Industry Mitigation Strategies – Installer & Maintenance Training, Equipment Product Quality Assurance, Network Validation Analyses, Carrier ID, Spectrum Initiatives, Space Data Association, and Satellite ID/Auto-Deploy Antenna Systems which will feature presentations from J.R.
