LATSAT to be Held May 18-19, 2016 in Mexico City

Mexico City, April 7, 2016--The next edition of LATSAT, the Latin American Satellite Communications & Broadcasting Summit, will take place on May 18-19, 2016, with an opening evening reception on May 17, 2016, at the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel in Mexico City.

Bringing together over 200 executive-level participants from 16 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela, the summit is an ideal forum for high-level networking and deal making where public and private stakeholders can discuss local and global market issues and do business with national and regional counterparts.

The summit is endorsed by the Mexican Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transporte and Telecomm, and is sponsored by local and international industry actors including, to name a few, Intelsat, Eutelsat, Hispasat, Boeing, GlobalSat, Elara Comunicaciones, Hughes and Airbus Defence & Space.
 

LATSAT will a high-level program in store once again this year, welcoming over 40 government officials and industry executives who will discuss important issues for the region during a series of round table and keynote speeches. The program this year will have a particular focus on universal access programs, with a half-day universal access forum welcoming government representatives in charge of national connectivity programs and telecom operators.
