Globecomm Tech Forum 2013: Profiting from Disruptive Change

Hauppauge, New York, July 18, 2013- This year's edition of Globecomm's Tech Forum 2013 will focus on "Profiting on Disruptive Change" and will look into new revenue opportunities, enhanced efficiencies, and reduced OPEX in mobile, media and entertainment, and the technologies that drive disruptive technologies.  The Tech Forum will be held from August 4-6, 2013 at  Globecomm Headquarters in Hauppauge, New York, USA.

The already-rapid rate of change in mobile, media and entertainment is accelerating, and their convergence grows deeper by the year.  The race is on to transform fledgling technologies into robust, reliable and cost-effective solutions to seize market changes and capture new revenue streams.  Techforum 2013, Globecomm's annual meeting for customers and strategic partners, is devoted to engaging discussion, debate, and learning how to get the best out of innovation in some of the world's fastest-moving technologies. It includes presentations, panel discussions, tech demonstrations, a tour of Globecomm’s high-tech facilities and collaborative social events. 

Techforum will explore the latest market changes, regulatory hurdles, growth opportunities and technology options in both fields, and in the expanding zone in which they overlap.  There wil be two main conference tracks, namely: 

  • Mobile and Wireless. From spectrum battles to next-gen evolution, carriers face tough choices about how to deliver a connected experience to subscribers while controlling costs and building profits.
  • Digital Video. Media and business professionals are grappling with the challenges of convergence in video and IT platforms, file-based distribution and the evolution of the video cloud.
