CABSAT 2013: Platform for a Critical Satellite Industry Agenda

London, UK, February 4, 2013--When writing under a leaden winter UK sky during January the subject of CABSAT in the rather warmer month of March in the UAE is a very easy one to turn to, and indeed there’s much on the critical agenda on which to be informed. Thus, this year GVF has a very busy CABSAT week, focused on both the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center (DICEC) and the GVF/MenaNets Training Facility in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone.

From Ka in London to HTS in DC: Satellite Service Provision Game-Changer in Action for Multi End-User Market

London, UK, January 3, 2013--Following the conclusion of the widely applauded GVF Ka Roundtable Assembly 2012: Satellite Service Provision Game-Changer in Action event, which took place in London on 5th & 6th December 2012 with approximately 100 delegates attending, the satellite industry has now called for a further platform to facilitate extended industry and end-user dialog about high-capacity and high-throughput satellite systems, new ground infrastructures, and advanced networking applications. This further platform will be called the GVF High-Capacity Satellite Roundtable Assembly, and it will take place in Washington DC on 21st & 22nd May 2013.

Plans Laid for the Biggest CABSAT yet as Regional Media Landscape Advances

Opening Day of TV Connect Sets Event Agenda and Future of Connected Entertainment

WCIT-12 Opens in Dubai Amid New Spirit of Multi-Stakeholder Engagement

Dubai, UAE, December 3, 2012--The World Conference on International Telecommunications opened on a buoyant note today in Dubai, with positive words of encouragement from government, civil society and industry. ICANN’s President & CEO Fadi Chehadé spoke of a “new season of engagement and cooperation” between ITU and his agency, recognizing ITU’s critical role in the development of the telecommunications industry and broadband infrastructure.

DVB World 2013 to be Held in Madrid

Geneva, Switzerland, November 21, 2012-- DVB World 2013 will take place from Monday March 11th to Wednesday March 13th in Madrid. The conference and exhibition will take place in a single convenient location at the Melia Madrid Princesa Hotel. Mark Dankberg, Newtec and Spacecom Win the First Vision Awards Presented During SATCON 2012

November 15, 2012, New York City—At an awards ceremony held on the first day of the SATCON Conference and Exhibition in New York City, the First Annual Vision Awards announced winners in three categories:   Mark Dankberg, CEO of Viasat won the Visionary Executive of the Year; Newtec’s MDM6000 Satellite Modem won the Innovative Product of the Year and Israel-based satellite operator Spacecom won the Most Promising Company of the Year.
