RF-Design GmbH Invests in Robotics and Digital Manufacturing Processes

Bensheim, Germany, February 10, 2026

RF-Design GmbH will be receiving funding from the German state of Hesse as part of the DIGI grant program, administered by Wirtschafts-und Infrastrukturbank Hessen (WIBank). The funding is provided in accordance with the applicable guidelines of the State of Hesse for start-up and SME support in the form of a project grant.

The project “Introduction of a robotics CNC machine and expansion or adaptation of the existing ERP system for manufacturing” is being funded. The aim of the project is to digitize and automate the manufacturing and merchandise management processes at RF-Design GmbH in a sustainable manner and make them future-proof.

The project focuses on the introduction and integration of a robotic CNC machine, which will integrate robotics technology into the company's production processes for the first time. At the same time, the existing ERP and merchandise management system will be expanded and specifically adapted to the requirements of production and final assembly. Instead of standard software, a customized solution will be used that is optimally tailored to the internal processes of RF-Design GmbH. The implementation of the project will result in a continuous digital process chain from merchandise management to production. Manual interfaces will be completely replaced, resulting in increased transparency regarding material flows, production status, and resources. The use of robotics technology will also lead to a significant increase in production quality, process reliability, and productivity.

The expected progress in digitalization is a major milestone for the company: the previous, predominantly manual processes will be replaced by a networked and automated production structure. This will enable RF-Design to increase its level of digitalization in the long term and create a future-proof digital basis for further automation and growth.

With the support of the DIGI grant from the state of Hesse, the state is specifically strengthening the innovation and competitiveness of RF Design and supporting the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in Hesse according to the company.
