C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. a provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, announced today at the opening of the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, that it has received type approval for its iNetVu® Ka-98G antenna system from Avanti Communications who provide coverage across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The iNetVu® Ka-98G mobile is the only officially approved vehicle mount auto-polarisation antenna that is able to operate on Avanti's HYLAS 1 and HYLAS 2 Ka-band satellites.

Comtech EF Data has been awarded a US$ 4.2 million order for DMD2050E Satellite Modems. A systems integrator ordered the equipment on behalf of the United States Army. The modems will be deployed to support mission-critical communications associated with a major military program.
