C-COM Satellite Systems Inc.,a global provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, announced today that Hughes Network Systems has qualified the new generation iNetVu® Ku 981 antenna system for use with Hughes HN/HX Systems.

The iNetVu® 981 mobile antenna is one of the new generation of auto-pointing antenna terminals which C-COM started manufacturing last year. The Hughes certification will allow the new antenna to be deployed on all networks around the world that use Hughes HN/HX Systems satellite equipment.

An international DTM (Dynamic Synchronous Transfer Mode) network that spans five continents with 92,000 km of fiber, the GCBN reaches 32 points of presence around the globe.

Globecast will operate IP/MPLS side by side with DTM technologies to provide its broadcast clients with the widest range of options for content delivery via more traditional linear services as well as non-linear and multi-platform offerings.
