Eutelsat Communications announced the appointment of Jean-Hubert Lenotte as the Group's Director of Strategy. He succeeds Yohann Leroy who has been appointed Deputy Chief Technical Officer and Director of Engineering.

Intelsat's board of directors elected John W. Diercksen to serve on the board as an independent director effective today. Mr. Diercksen will also serve on the Audit Committee. Mr. Diercksen is currently an executive vice president of Verizon Communications, with responsibility for key strategic initiatives related to the review and assessment of potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

Content security provider Conax has named Andreas Binderlehner as new Director of Area Sales for the German-speaking countries.Binderlehner will be responsible for development of business opportunities and expansion of sales of Conax Conditional Access and DRM solutions to cable, satellite, DTH and DTT operators, ISPs and telcos in the “D-A-CH” countries.  

Global supplier of content management and network infrastructure Harris Broadcast has announced plans to preview the new management team’s vision and strategy by naming senior management appointments.  Steve Foreman has been named president of global operations and services, and Jeff Liening, senior vice president of global sales operations.

RF specialist company Cobham Broadcast announced the appointment of Sam Medler as technical services manager - Broadcast. Medler will be a direct liaison for existing and prospective Cobham Broadcast customers worldwide, providing pre- and post-sale technical expertise.

Inmarsat Government, a provider of secure, global, mission-critical telecommunication solutions to the U.S. public sector, announced the appointment of Susan Miller as president and chief executive officer. Former Siemens Enterprise Communications and Gulfsat Communications executive Eric Van Hoecke has been appointed by satellite communications specialist Newtec to lead many of its sales activities in the Middle East.

NewSat Limited announced the appointment of Don Brown as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning.  Brown was formerly Vice-President for Business Development for Intelsat General.

MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. announced today the promotion of Vishal Mathur from Director (South Asia) to Senior Director, Sales and Marketing.  In his new role, Vishal will be responsible to build the MEASAT’s customer base with a focus in the broadcasting and DTH customer segments.
