New consumer data from international research firm Parks Associates reveals an increase in streaming video viewership during the COVID-19 outbreak. The survey of 10,000 broadband households, fielded between March 8 and April 3 to 10,000 US heads of broadband households, finds 76% of US broadband households subscribe to an OTT service, increasing by roughly six million households since Q1 2019.

Total online video weekly streaming minutes on mobile grew 60% in aggregate across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore between January 20 – April 11, 2020, according to a new report published today by Media Partners Asia (MPA). With the disruption and subsequent lockdown measures enforced during the COVID-19 pandemic, total online video streaming weekly consumption reached 58 billion minutes on mobile by April 11, 2020 versus 36.4 billion on January 20, 2020.

OTT TV episode and movie revenues for 22 Eastern European countries will reach US$ 3.58 billion in 2025; nearly triple the $1.41 billion recorded in 2019. Russia will account for 40% of the region’s OTT revenues by 2025, with Poland generating a further 27% - so two-thirds of the total will go to these two countries.
