Avanti Communications Appoints New Sales Director

London, UK, March 14, 2024–Avanti Communications announced the appointment of Chris van Rooyen as its new Sales Director. The industry veteran will support the company’s growing footprint in South Africa by combining his in-depth market understanding with Avanti’s vision for South African telco convergence according to the company.

van Rooyen will support the company’s mission to provide accessible and affordable connectivity and will spearhead the growth of Avanti’s enterprise sales and services in the region, in addition to driving new business development.

Avanti opened its first African office in South Africa in 2018 and is now focussed on creating more local employment opportunities across the country.

van Rooyen has 25 years of experience in enterprise and partnerships working with market-leading companies across data, connectivity and telecoms sectors. The in-depth market understanding gained throughout his career, combined with Chris’ passion for business development, will play a key role in supporting the growth of Avanti’s enterprise solutions. 

Before joining Avanti, van Rooyen spent a decade at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, where he held the position of Managing Executive of Channel Partnerships and SME. Chris has also worked for companies including MWEB Business, Vox Telecom, Altron and Huge Telecom.
