Centris provides marketing intelligence on communication, information and entertainment services, including voice, video and data products. It also provides usage and market share estimates at a national, regional or local level.

A component of the new research report is Centris’ "Composite Spending Index," which will track consumer perceptions and self-reported media consumption plans over time. In addition, the study provides insights into where business churn may occur by provider and service type.

According to Centris president, Bill Beaumont, "This is a timely and relevant study that examines perceptions of the current economic situation in the United States, and how these views may affect household communication services and media consumption. Centris plans are to track the changing economic environment to provide our clients with needed intelligence to help forecast changes in market demand and adjust their marketing strategies and mixes."

Key elements of the current report include:

· The likely cancellation of services by type of service company (e.g. cable, satellite, telco).

· The likelihood of internet cancellations.

· The potential changes in media consumption, including ordering video on demand (VOD) movies, DVD purchases, and movie going.

· Consumers’ perceptions of the state of the economy, as well as their outlook for the next six months.

The data in the report were derived from Centris’ US Communications and Entertainment Omnibus (CEO) Survey, a continuous market sampling program that supports the research needs of top communications and entertainment companies in the United States. Centris clients and subscribers have the option of utilizing the Centris research platform by inserting questions into the ongoing survey program thereby optimizing their own research budgets.
