New York, NY, June 16, 2026--Space & Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) today announced the 2026–2027 leadership slate for SSPI Women in Space Engagement (WISE), known as SSPI-WISE, the association’s women’s leadership initiative serving the space and satellite industry.
The new slate marks an important stage of maturity for SSPI-WISE as a grassroots organization. This year, SSPI-WISE developed a governance document designed to clarify leadership roles, strengthen continuity and support the initiative’s continued growth. That document has been submitted to the SSPI Board of Directors for approval, and the 2026–2027 slate reflects the organization’s move toward implementing the new governance structure.
The 2026–2027 Executive Committee includes Tina Ghataore of Aerospacelab as Chairwoman, Lyn Chassagne of BlackSky as President, Krista Hazen of Mynaric as Vice President, Katina Mruk of Auria Space as Treasurer, Jennifer Hoil of ST Engineering iDirect as Sustainment Officer and Justyna Kosianka of Ursa Space as Secretary.
“SSPI-WISE began as a grassroots effort to create connection, support and opportunity for women across the space and satellite industry,” said Tamara Bond-Williams, Executive Director, SSPI. “The creation of a governance document and Executive Committee gives SSPI-WISE the structure it needs to continue expanding its work while preserving the volunteer leadership and industry-wide commitment that made it possible.”
The 2026–2027 slate also includes Working Group leaders for Elevating Women, Marketing & Networking, Mentoring, SSPI-WISE East and STEM Outreach. SSPI-WISE has reinstated the Elevating Women Committee, led by Neha Lin of Iridium, to focus on the recognition of women in the industry. The committee will explore broader opportunities to elevate women’s contributions across the sector, including the potential development of an SSPI-WISE awards program.
SSPI-WISE is currently seeking additional women who wish to contribute to the Elevating Women Committee and help shape how the industry recognizes women’s leadership, achievement and impact.
The full 2026–2027 SSPI-WISE leadership slate, effective July 1, is available at www.sspi.org/sspi-wise-2026-2027-leadership.
