ArianeGroup announces that its Board of Directors has appointed Christophe Bruneau as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Martin Sion, whose departure was announced on October 8.

Today's announcement comes at the end of a rigorous selection process conducted by the board of directors and on the recommendation of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee, which considered that Christophe Bruneau, through his background and knowledge of the space and defense industry, possesses the necessary qualities to continue and consolidate the development and transformation undertaken at ArianeGroup accoridng to the company.
Christophe Bruneau began his career in 1992 as Head of Industrial Marketing and then Deputy Director for European Affairs at the Armines Group. He joined the French Embassy in Germany in 1995 as Science and Technology Attaché and Aerospace Coordinator. In 1999, he joined MAN Technologies AG in Augsburg as Director of the Space Business Unit. He joined Snecma (now Safran Aircraft Engines) in 2004 as Deputy Managing Director of the Space Engines Division, based in France and Germany. In 2007, he joined the Europrop International consortium as Director of the TP400 program (engine for the Airbus A400M), based in Munich and Madrid. In 2012, he established and took over the management of Aerospace Embedded Solutions (AES) in Munich, a joint venture between Sagem (now Safran Electronics & Defense) and MTU, before taking over the management of Europrop International in 2016. Since 2020, he has been director of the military engines division of Safran Aircraft Engines.
Christophe Bruneau graduated from INSEEC in 1992, and completed his training at the Ecole Centrale de Paris in 1993.
