82% of U.S. broadband households now have an HDTV

Dallas, Tex., March 31, 2014--Parks Associates announced new research today predicting 4K TVs will follow a similar, but faster, growth pattern as HDTVs, which have reached 82% of U.S. broadband households after 15 years on the market. The research "4K Today: Bringing Ultra HD to Market" predicts 4K TVs will reach mass-market pricing in the next 2-3 years and top 80% of households in approximately 10-12 years.

(LRG) found that 77% of households in the United States have at least one high definition television (HDTV) set, and about 46% of all households have multiple HDTVs. Five years ago, 34% of US households had at least one HDTV, and 11% of households had more than one HDTV.
