A+E Networks® Asia today announced two executive appointments to the company’s programming and promotions teams.  Brad Cox joins A+E Networks Asia as Senior Director, Content – Lifestyle & Entertainment Channels and Thomas Tan has been hired as Creative Director.

Intelsat S.A. (NYSE: I) announced today that current Intelsat President and Chief Commercial Officer Stephen Spengler has been promoted to Deputy Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

It has been a year since the private equity firm Wasserstein & Co. acquired Hauppauge , NY-based provider of managed network communication solutions Globecoom.  We spoke to Globecom's CEO to give us an update on their company and where its going after the acquisition.  Excerpts of the interview follows:

The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today announced that SIA’s Board of Directors has appointed Tom Stroup to the position of President, effective December 15th. Stroup’s appointment follows an extensive search to replace the former President, Patricia Cooper, who departed SIA earlier this year for private industry.

ABS announced the appointment of Flavien Bachabi as the Managing Director of Africa.   Bachabi will be responsible for leading the sales and business operations for the African continent.

Tedial, an independent MAM technology solutions specialist, has appointed Terry Spittle as its new Director of Global Operations and Support. Spittle will have oversight of Tedial’s Implementation Engineering, Installation and Service and Support teams. He will be responsible for defining and developing enhanced internal process infrastructure, enabling the company to support its growing worldwide customer base and partner network. Spittle will also provide a senior level liaison point for clients and project partners.

MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. announced today the re-appointment of Jarod Lopez as Vice President – Broadcast.   In this role, Jarod will be responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing efforts of MEASAT in the broadcast industry.
