Inmarsat (LSE:ISAT.L), has confirmed the successful launch of its third satellite in the transformational Global Xpress (GX) constellation. Inmarsat-5 F3 (I-5 F3), which was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 12.44pm (BST), entered orbit on August 29 at 04.15 am (BST) following a 15 hour and 31 minute mission. 

Asia Satellite Telecommunications Holdings Limited (‘AsiaSat’ – SEHK: 1135), today announced its 2015 interim results for the six months ending June 30, 2015. 1st Half 2015 turnover was HK$ 641 million, down 8% compared to same period last year primarily due to lower short-term revenue generated in the current period. 

Contracts on hand as ofJune 30, 2015 was valued at HK$3,645 million.

Satellite communications service provider SpeedCast today announced strong half year 2015 results for the period of January through June 2015, demonstrating double digit year-on-year growth across all major P&L metrics.

Statutory revenues grew 32% to US$ 71.7 million. Compared with 1H 2014 pro forma revenue, which includes the full period impact of acquisitions completed in 2014, total revenue grew 23%, with core service revenues growing 32% over the same period.

The 225th launch of the Ariane 5 rocket successfully placed two telecommunication satellites, Eutelsat 8 and Intelsat 34 in geostationary transfer orbits on August 20, following lift off from the European spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.

(NYSE: I) today reported total revenue of US$ 598.1 million and net income attributable to Intelsat S.A. of US$ 60.2 million, or US$ 0.47 per common share on a diluted basis, for the three months ended June 30, 2015. The company reported adjusted net income per diluted common shareof $0.70 for the three months ended June 30, 2015.
