SpaceBridge Inc., a manufacturer of High Throughput Satellite (HTS)/VHTS Broadband VSAT Satellite Network Platforms, and Xiplink, the leading provider of Radio Access Network (RAN) Optimization and Acceleration today jointly announced a technology partnership. XipLink will be integrating their 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G RAN and L2/VLAN optimization software into SpaceBridge’s U7780 and U7800 Professional Satellite modems to provide high efficiency bandwidth on demand (BOD), which enables exceptional user experience and bandwidth savings.

The Red Eléctrica Group, through HISPASAT, the Spanish telecommunications operator, Red Eléctrica de España, the electrical system operator and transporter, and Elewit, the Group’s technological platform, has carried out a pilot project on the Red Eléctrica's substation in Galapagar (Madrid) to demonstrate the viability of the use of high-voltage electrical infrastructure to provide satellite connectivity that extends cellular and broadband coverage in rural and remote environments that the power lines run through.
