Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) today announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Elemental Technologies, Inc., a software-defined video solutions for multiscreen content delivery provider. The acquisition brings together Elemental’s leading video solutions with the AWS Cloud platform to provide media and entertainment companies with a range of integrated solutions to efficiently and economically scale video infrastructures as the media industry increasingly moves to internet based delivery.

Inmarsat (LSE:ISAT.L), has confirmed the successful launch of its third satellite in the transformational Global Xpress (GX) constellation. Inmarsat-5 F3 (I-5 F3), which was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 12.44pm (BST), entered orbit on August 29 at 04.15 am (BST) following a 15 hour and 31 minute mission.

ViaSat Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT) announced financial results for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2015. Fiscal first quarter Adjusted EBITDA grew nearly 30% year-over-year to US$ 77.5 million. Revenues grew to $344.4 million, up 8% from the prior year period.

Net income attributable to EchoStar common stock was US$ 33.9 million and diluted earnings per share was $0.36 for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, compared with net income attributable to EchoStar common stock of US $33.8 million and diluted earnings per share of $0.36 during the corresponding period in 2014.
Orbital ATK, Inc. (NYSE: OA) today announced both GAAP and adjusted financial results for the second calendar quarter ended July 5, 2015. Orbital ATK reported GAAP revenues of US$ 1,130 million for the second quarter of 2015 compared to US$ 714 million in the same quarter in 2014.
