C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. (TSXV: CMI), a leading global provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, announced today financial results for the fiscal year ended November 30, 2015 posting its 11th consecutive profitable year.

The company has generated revenues of $10,374,748 and a net after tax profit of $1,596,680 or 4 cents per share. This compared with revenues of $13,205,778 and a net after tax profit of $2,805,033 or 8 cents per share as reported in 2014, representing a decrease of 21.4% and 43.1% respectively.

The Ariane launcher ferrying Eutelsat’s newest satellite into space took off on 9 March at 02.20 (05.20 UTC) and delivered EUTELSAT 65 West A into its transfer orbit after a 27-minute flight.

SES Platform Services (SES PS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SES, announced an agreement whereby RR Media, a leading provider of global digital media services to the broadcast and media industries, will merge its operations with those of SES PS.

SES will pay a consideration of USD$ 13.291 per share to acquire a 100% interest in RR Media. The consideration corresponds to an Enterprise Value of US$242 million, which will be funded from the group’s existing financial resources. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals, which are expected to be completed in Q2/Q3 2016.

A new report from Juniper Research has valued operator in-flight roaming revenues at nearly US$ 3 billion by 2020, doubling the value estimated for this year. This figure includes mobile voice, data and SMS.

However, in terms of total operator billed mobile roaming revenues, in-flight roaming will only represent around 5% of revenues globally by 2020.

In the business year of 2015 the Spanish satellite communications operator HISPASAT reached a figure of 219.6 million euros in total revenue, representing an 8.7% increase from the previous business year. EBITDA reached 178.9 million euros, which translates into a 10.6% increase with respect to 2014 and represents an operating margin of 81.5%, a figure that further anchors HISPASAT's position as one of the most profitable and efficient companies in the satellite sector.
