Hannover Fairs USA, Inc. Unveils Action-Packed Program for ISCe 2008

Long Beach, CA, May 7, 2008 – Hannover Fairs USA, Inc. announced today the conference program for its 7th annual ISCe International Conference and Exhibition.  ISCe 2008, scheduled for June 10-12 in San Diego, Calif., will focus on “Access to SATCOM for the Next Decade.” The conference will feature a unique combination of three of the most important communications events for the commercial satellite, military and government markets under one roof.

Long Beach, CA -- Hannover Fairs USA, Inc. (HFUSA), organizers of the ISCe Conference and Expo and other satellite trade shows,  announced the launch of a dynamic new conference and exposition focusing on the delivery of digital content across all technology platforms.  The Multichannel Content Distribution Conference (MCCD) will be held February 4-5, 2009, at the Universal City Hilton in Los Angeles, CA.

Interview with Dennis Smith, Managing Director of Hannover Fairs-Turkey on the Opportunities in the Eurasian Market

At the recently-concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Dennis Smith, Managing Director of Hannover Fairs-Turkey based in Istanbul spoke to Satellite Markets and Research Editor-in-Chief Virgil Labrador on the Eurasian market for ICT and telecommunications services.   He spoke on trends in the region and opportunties for North American companies in this fast-growing region of over 350 million people. 

New Video Channels Continue to be Main Growth Driver for Satellite Capacity

In its recently released study covering the entire commercial satellite transponder leasing sector, NSR projects that worldwide carriage of new standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) channels for all categories of television services will account for between 75% and 85% of C- and Ku-band transponder demand growth in most regions around the world. NSR projects in its Global Assessment of Satellite Demand, 4th Edition (GASD) report that approximately 1,750 additional SD channels and another 150 HD channels will be placed on commercial C- and Ku-band satellite payloads every year for the six-year period between 2006 and 2012. In fact, DTH services alone will contribute nearly 4,000 SD channels and just fewer than 500 HD channels by 2012 according to NSR’s latest industry forecasts.
