Thales Alenia Space Wins Nilesat-201 Satellite Contract

Cannes, June 3, 2008 - Thales Alenia Space today announced the signature of a contract with Nilesat, the Egyptian satellite company, to provide the Nilesat-201 broadcasting communication satellite and associated services and ground stations.

Eutelsat’s TOOWAY™ Broadband Service Sign Distribution Deal in Germany

Paris, June 3, 2008 -- Eutelsat Communications (Euronext Paris: ETL) and TelDaFax Communications GmbH  today announced an agreement for the immediate distribution of the Tooway™ satellite  broadband service in Germany. Skylogic, Eutelsat’s broadband affiliate, will be directly  responsible for the distribution contract with TelDafax.

Astrium wins satellite contract worth €263 million

May 27, 2008 – Satellite manufacturer Astrium has been commissioned by the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop and build the EarthCARE Earth observation satellite. The contract worth € 263 million was signed today in Berlin at the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) by Volker Liebig, ESA’s Director of Earth Observation, Evert Dudok, CEO of Astrium Satellites and Uwe Minne, Director of Earth Observation and Science at Astrium (Friedrichshafen, Germany), in the presence of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, ESA Director General Jean-Jacques Dordain and Head of the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) Johann-Dietrich Wörner.

Yahsat to Raise US$1.2 billion to Finance Satellite System

May 20 2008, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates-- Al Yah Satellite Communications Company PJSC (Yahsat), the UAE’s first nationally-owned satellite operator and wholly-owned subsidiary of Mubadala, is approaching the financial markets to raise US$1.2 billion to finance its satellite communications system.

Gilat Announces First Quarter 2008 Results

PETAH TIKVA, Israel, May. 15, 2008--Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NasdaqGM:GILT), today reported its results for the quarter ending March 31, 2008.  Revenues for the first quarter of 2008 were $70.5 million, up from $68.0 million in the same period of 2007. Net income for the first quarter of 2008 was $4.6 million or $0.11 per diluted share, compared to a net income of $4.9 million or $0.12 per diluted share in the first quarter of 2007. These results include expenses related to the merger agreement in the amount of $0.7 million.

SES ASTRA Launches New Orbital Position at 31.5 Degrees East

BETZDORF, Luxembourg, Apr. 29, 2008--SES ASTRA has announced today the start of a new orbital position at 31.5 degrees East. The new position will allow SES ASTRA to operate satellite services at up to 40 new broadcasting frequencies (BSS) and support the development of the Eastern European and Middle East markets. The satellite Sirius 2, which is part of the SES fleet and is renamed ASTRA 5A, has been moved from 5 degrees East to the new position and will allow the commercialization of up to 26 transponders.

SES First Quarter Net Profit Up 24%

BETZDORF, Luxembourg , Apr. 28, 2008--Global satellite operator SES S.A.(Paris:SESG) (LuxX:SESG), reported first quarter net profits of EUR 120.9 million  and 24% increase from last year's 1st quarter net profits of  EUR 97.7 million.

NXP to Acquire Conexant's Set-Top Box Operations

EINDHOVEN, Netherlands, April 29, 2008--NXP Semiconductors, the independent semiconductor company founded by Philips, today announced it will acquire the Broadband Media Processing (BMP) business of Conexant Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ:CNXT). With this transaction, NXP's existing set-top box and digital TV operations will be combined with Conexant's BMP business.

The combined operations will create a top three player in digital video systems with the scale to establish a strong leadership position. The deal represents NXP's fourth acquisition since independence and is the first for its Home Business Unit.
