Optus Announces Senior Leadership Appointments

SYDNEY, May 6, 2008 -- Optus announced last weekend several key appointments to its senior leadership team. Andrew Buay was appointed managing director, Products and Delivery, and will take up the role on June 1.  Andrew has successfully led the Optus Wholesale and Satellite team for more than a year.  Prior to this position he was chief operating advisor at Globe Telecom in the Philippines.

Sir Arthur C. Clarke Passes Away

Colombo, Sri Lanka, March 19, 2008--The acknowledged “father of the communications satellite”  Arthur C. Clarke passed away at the age of 90 at a hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka , where he has lived since 1956.
