EMC appoints John Finney as Chief Commercial Officer

Miramar, Fla., October 6,  2015--This appointment is to enhance the company's leadership in delivering the most mission-critical communications services, in the world's most remote locations, and for people and businesses on the move.

Finney has experience in leading and transitioning companies to make them world-class within their industries.  Prior to EMC, he was a founding employee and the CCO at O3b Networks with a broad range of responsibilities.  Finney also served as regional managing director of Ciena, running the company's Northern Europe and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) operations.  Before Ciena, he held several executive leadership positions.  At Alcatel-Lucent, he was a global business unit leader and at Huawei, he was the first European employee responsible for the company's entry and growth strategies.

Finney is a satellite and telecommunications industry trailblazer, sought after speaker, and Global Telecoms Business has cited him as a Top 40 Global Telecoms Executive three years consecutively.
