NAB Show Brings Together Delegations and Exhibitors from Around the World

Washington, D.C., April 4, 2016--NAB Show will host 60+ international delegations this year from every continent, including first-time delegations from Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Saudi Arabia and Zimbabwe. Nearly 26 percent of the event’s more than 100,000 attendees will travel from 160+ countries to NAB Show, held April 16-21 in Las Vegas. NAB Show is the world’s largest annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage and distribute entertainment content across all platforms.

“NAB Show continues to be the ideal meeting place for broadcast, media and entertainment professionals from all corners of the globe,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton. “Year after year, the strong international presence at NAB Show plays a significant role in building global commerce, networking and revenue-generating opportunities.”

NAB Show participates in the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Buyer Program, which recruits international trade delegations to select U.S. trade shows and connects international buyers with U.S. suppliers.

The Exhibit Halls will host nearly 700 companies headquartered outside of the U.S. Returning to the floor are 10 international country pavilions featuring the latest in broadcast technology and business development. This year’s participants include Argentina, Bavaria, Belgium, Brazil, Korea and the United Kingdom, and new pavilions from Beijing, Israel and New Zealand.

NAB Show also offers an International Trade Center (ITC) in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, which is a new location from previous years. The ITC offers onsite services for international guests and NAB Show exhibitors to facilitate business opportunities, including Commercial Trade Specialists and multi-lingual staff providing translation assistance. Federal and state officials will be present to discuss programs and grants available to U.S. suppliers interested in international business opportunities.

NAB Show and the National Base for International Trade-International High Tech Cultural Device Cluster (TCDIC), headquartered in Shanghai, previously announced the 2016 NAB Show Shanghai event will be held December 7-9. The event supports the rapidly changing media and entertainment industry in China. Information regarding attending, exhibiting and sponsorships will be available at booth L6 in the main lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Additionally, several international supporting organizations, including the Brazilian Society of Television Engineering (SET), the International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers (IABM) and the Chinese Content Broadcasting Network (CCBN), will host co-located events focused on in-country market research, new business opportunities and successful business models for buyers and suppliers.
