Washington, D.C. -- NAB Show and SCTE today announced a joint forum on October 12, 2021 that will link SCTE·ISBE Cable-Tec Expo^® in Atlanta with NAB Show’s Broadcast Engineering and Information Technology (BEIT) Conference in Las Vegas.The joint forum will be the first live, bi-coastal collaboration between SCTE, a subsidiary of CableLabs, and the National Association of Broadcasters, organizer of NAB Show. SCTE and NAB have previously partnered to provide content for their respective events.

Singapore, March 25, 2021–The Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) will be kicking off its conference calendar for the year with the OTT  Summit – The Future of Video Streaming. Alongside the OTT Summit, AVIA will also be hosting Piracy Over the Top, the companion event focused on streaming pirated services, as streaming piracy becomes the biggest competitive threat to the video industry.

London, UK, March 3, 2021--In considering the theme for this month’s column my prompt came from threads of discussion featuring in GVF’s continuing online events program (https://gvf.org/webinars/) which resumed in January, following our successful 2020 online content response to the limiting circumstances of a pandemic world.  Mid-February’s Zoom into the subject of ground segment attracted 400 registrations, 300 actual attendances from 60 countries, and over 30 live questions, in addition to the moderator-led Roundtable dialogue.

Washington, D.C., February 2, 2021--The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) revealed research that demonstrates growing confidence and positivity among NAB Show participants about a return to in-person events. Results from a survey conducted by Freeman Event Research as part of a trade show industry research project, which included NAB Show in Las Vegas, indicate a majority of past NAB Show attendees expect to attend in-person events in late 2021.
